Reading Session Planner: Make Time for Your Next Read

Private tool: inputs stay on this page. No account, upload or complete comic index is required.

Turn the time you have into a reading session

This planner answers a different question from a catch-up calculator: how much reading fits in the time you have? Enter a minute budget, your own estimated time per page and a weekly session count. The tool works for any fixed reading material, even when this companion has no verified total or complete source index for a comic.

Use a rough estimate rather than a speed target. Dialogue-heavy pages, detailed artwork and source-platform loading can all change the time you spend. The result describes the inputs you supplied; it is not a measurement of your attention, a recommended reading speed or a promise that every future page will take the same time.

What to enter in each field

Minutes available per session means the time you expect to spend reading in one sitting. The supported range is one minute to 1,440 minutes. Use an ordinary session rather than a whole day unless that really describes your plan. The tool does not reserve the time in your calendar or send a notification.

Average minutes per page accepts decimals from 0.1 to 120. If you read six complete pages in twelve minutes, two minutes per page is a reasonable arithmetic starting point. Reading sessions per week is a whole number from one to twenty-one. Two sessions on one day count as two; the weekly number is not restricted to seven distinct days.

A worked example you can check yourself

Enter twenty-five minutes, two minutes per page and five sessions. Twenty-five divided by two is 12.5, so twelve complete pages fit in the session. Those pages use twenty-four minutes, leaving one minute within the budget. Five sessions at twelve pages give sixty pages of planned weekly capacity.

The tool rounds down because a fraction of a page is not a completed page. A one-minute budget with a two-minute page estimate produces zero complete pages, not an error or a fabricated minimum of one. You may still read part of a page; just avoid saving it as fully read until you finish.

Use the result without changing your saved position

Calculation does not write to browser progress. When you actually finish reading, open Reading Tracker, select the correct series and save the last completed page. Planning twenty pages does not mark twenty pages as read, and changing the minute estimate does not overwrite your tracker’s separately stored pages-per-day value.

If your sessions vary, calculate weekday and weekend allowances separately. A short weekday session and a longer Sunday session should not be forced into one misleading average. Recalculate as often as useful. The form stays on the page and its inputs are not saved across reloads, uploaded to WordPress or shared with another browser.

When to choose a different planner

Choose Deadline Planner when you know a fixed number of pages and want the required pace by a selected date. Choose Catch-Up Calculator when you want time-to-endpoint based on the companion’s known series record. Read that endpoint’s coverage note; a latest-known page is not necessarily a verified ending.

If you have no useful page-duration estimate, start with an unmeasured session and revisit the planner later. It is fine to read without a quota. For a sustainable weekly workflow, use the practical guide linked below, which explains how to compare estimates with completed reading and leave room for sessions that do not happen.
