Reading Deadline Planner: A Realistic Pace by Date

Private tool: inputs stay on this page. No account, upload or complete comic index is required.

Days you plan to read

Set a fixed reading goal and a realistic date

This tool calculates the pages you would need on each selected reading day to reach a target. It uses the remaining-page count you enter, not an inferred ending or future upload schedule. You can plan a chapter range, a reread or another endpoint you have independently identified at the official source.

An ongoing series can gain pages during the plan. Decide whether you want to keep the original goal fixed or enter a new remaining count later. The planner does not predict what the artist will publish and does not label a comic finished just because your personal target has been reached.

Define remaining pages correctly

Enter a whole number from one to one million. If the last page you fully read is 50 and the target is page 150, the remaining count is one hundred: pages 51 through 150. Do not include page 50 again. If you have not started, use the length of your chosen range rather than a guessed series total.

For No Lunch Break, the companion does not have a verified total page count. For an ongoing work, a latest-known page is not a completed total. The manual input makes those limitations explicit. If the target is already complete, there is no remaining workload to calculate; save your actual position in the tracker instead.

Dates and weekdays: what gets counted

The start and target dates are both included. Select the weekdays on which you can reasonably read; one session is assumed on each matching date. Monday through Friday are initially selected, but you can choose weekends, one day a week or any other repeating pattern. No days are silently added to force a result.

The calculation uses calendar dates consistently, including across changes to daylight-saving time. It does not create a timed appointment, send reminders or account for one-off holidays. The target must be on or after the start, within ten years. If none of the selected weekdays occurs in the range, the tool explains that there are no reading sessions.

Check the arithmetic with a concrete example

A Monday-to-Sunday range with weekdays selected contains five sessions. One hundred remaining pages divided by five gives twenty pages per reading day. Change the count to 101 and the rounded-up allowance becomes twenty-one, leaving four pages of spare capacity across those five sessions. You can shorten the last session instead of reading beyond the target.

A same-day range provides one session only if its weekday is selected. With fifty pages remaining, the allowance is fifty pages for that session. Whether that is sensible depends on your available time and the material. A correct arithmetic result is not necessarily a comfortable or achievable reading plan.

Compare the required pace with your available time

Use Session Planner to check whether a normal time budget accommodates the result. Twenty-one pages at two minutes each would take roughly forty-two minutes. If that is too much, reduce the target, move the date or add a reading day you can genuinely use. Do not turn spare capacity into a requirement to rush.

Calculation leaves your saved progress unchanged. Track completed pages separately and recalculate if you miss a session. If you need the site’s known endpoint rather than a manual target, use Catch-Up Calculator. The practical deadline guide below explains how to keep publication uncertainty, calendar availability and actual completed reading separate.
